Shared cockpit program
« on: November 05, 2014, 11:09:11 PM »
Hello guys,

In reality controlling a large jet requires 4 hands and  4 eyes...

Its an old ideea. We  thougt about giving a try with multiplayer shared cockpit simulation. Captain and First Officer sharing same command deck even if not at the same computer.
The FSX has this future built in for all the default aircraft's. But there are also several payware airplanes such as LSH MD-82 (Maddog) http://www.flythemaddog.com/ , Digital Aviation Fokker 70/100 (no virtual cockpit) http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=fokkerjet , Lotussim L39 Albatros http://www.lotussim.com/, Majestic Software MJC8 Q400 (pro version in beta testing, yet to be released) http://majesticsoftware.com/mjc8q400/ and there is also a freware tool called Desk Pilot - Multicrew solution http://www.desk-pilot.com/ that a nice first step into adding shared cockpit future to payware airplanes such as the PMDG 737 NGX.

*Anyone that have any experience in this meter is invited to reply to this thread.

**Also in this section of the forum we will post invitation here to join in a shared cockpit experience.

***I also add below some tutorials for the default shared cockpit future of fsx for start:

Bogdan,

this is one of the most interesting subjects that's hitting the virtual aviation community in years. I saw some people on you tube already doing/trying this on FSX and X-Plane. Reading through this subject I know X-Plane 10 was already built with this in mind so you don't need an app to do this just two licences of X-Plane :D, while on FSX the apps are being built with much anticipation.

I am looking forward to see this new current hit the virtual community and things will get even more interesting :D.

Cheers and thanks for the post.
